This May will be the first coronation for 70 years, it will be a while before the next one. It's vital you maximise the opportunity this time.
The coronation will be held on May 6th, 2023. So the time is now to start contacting all your clients to secure orders for their celebrations. Or start selling t-shirts and other promotional items through your store, on ebay, etsy and facebook market place.
The Opportunity
The UK's population is 67.33 million, and many of them will be wanting at least one, if not more items. Even if you could secure work for 0.1% of this potential market, that wil be 67,300 items of merchandise.
This number does not include the number of tourists that will visit the UK this year. In 2022 there were 30 million visitors to the UK, a number that will only increase in 2023. IIf you have travel or tourism clients, they will all need coronation themed products. And if you are any of your clients have a location in a tourist area, you must have coronation themed products visible and on sale till at least the end of the summer.
What should I decorate?
T-shirts will of course be an essential part of your offering, but this is an opportunity to offer more that just this. If you have a heat press, you can decorate onto any material that will take heat. Think hats, tote bags, bunting, tea towells, table cloths, cushion covers, picnic bags, soft toys and so much more.
Be sure to package together multiple items for all your customers (kitting) and increase your average order value.
Artwork for the coronation
To help you make the most of this opportunity, we have secured the correct artwork to make official coronation products. This has been pre-loaded into the EasyView designer, in the stock designs area. All you need to do is pick the colour variant you wish to use and place your order.
How to decorate
For best results, we recommend using UltraColour Max. Our Direct To Film (DTF) solution can achieve incredibly fine detail, which will help you realise the official design in all it's glory. Please bear in mind that changing or altering the artwork will stop it from being an official piece of merchandie. You definitely don't want to be weeding this design.!
UltraColour Max is fused for 12 seconds at 145c, with medium pressure (4-6 on a Hotronix).
